New Speakers and Old Music
I just picked up a new Sony 2.1 speaker system (two speakers and a subwoofer for those of you who aren't tech junkies) and also got Pink Floyd's The Wall double album to test them out (you've gotta have Pink Floyd when testing new speakers, it's a rule. [most of it comes from the fact that a lot of their songs go back and forth between the speakers, there are other bands that do it, but Pink Floyd is just absolutely classic.] I'm probably gonna pick up Dark Side Of the Moon soon, my stepdad Jimmy used to play the "Time" track to wake my mom up :P) I used to have both The Wall and Dark Side Of the Moon before I had to live on the streets of Denver 2 1/2 years ago, but all the CD's I had were stolen along with one of my messenger bags when I went to The Church (a club here in Denver that used to be a church) because they didn't allow bags inside, which was stupid, if you ask me... the reason they don't allow them inside is because they've had too many people report stolen bags, but by making people leave their bags outside the club, they're actually increasing the chances of bags getting stolen. (take note that I was homeless at the time, and thus didn't have anywhere to put my stuff where I was sure it wouldn't get stolen, because this was before a friend showed me the hiding place he used, which has worked for me [and all the friends I trusted enough to tell where the place was] to this day.) So anyway, now that I've got a place to keep my stuff and a semi-steady income, I'm working on rebuilding my collection. So anyway, the new speakers are awesome, you can actually feel the air being pushed around by the subwoofer, and since it's up in my windowsill and not on the floor, I shouldn't get any complaints from the neighbors downstairs.
